Getting There
Everything you need to know to arrive ready for the ride of a lifetime.
1
Flights & Arrival
International Flights
Fly into Kotoka International Airport (ACC) in Accra, Ghana. We recommend arriving by Friday, February 12, 2027 to settle in and join the Welcome Reception that evening. Booking early ensures better fares — major hubs connecting to Accra include London Heathrow, Amsterdam Schiphol, New York JFK, and Washington Dulles.
Visa Requirements
Most nationalities require a visa to enter Ghana. We strongly recommend applying well in advance of your travel date. Visit the Ghana Ministry of Foreign Affairs or your nearest Ghana Embassy for up-to-date requirements and the online application portal.
Vaccinations & Health
A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required for entry into Ghana — carry the physical certificate with you. Additional vaccinations recommended by health authorities include:
-
Hepatitis A & B
-
Typhoid
-
Malaria prophylaxis (consult your physician)
-
Routine vaccinations (MMR, Tdap, COVID-19)
Consult your doctor or a travel health clinic at least 4–6 weeks before departure.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not included in any package and is strongly recommended. We suggest Allianz Travel Insurance for comprehensive coverage including trip cancellation, medical evacuation, and gear protection. Make sure your policy covers cycling activities abroad.

Once You Arrive
Airport Transfers
Airport transfers are handled differently depending on your package:
Ride+Full Tour & Spectator Tour Participants
Airport transfers between Kotoka International Airport and the host hotel in Accra are included in your package. Our team will be waiting at arrivals.
Ride Only & Ride Experience Participants
Participants are responsible for their own airport transportation. Ride-share apps (Uber, Bolt) are readily available at Kotoka International Airport.
Domestic Travel
Full Tour package participants (Ride+Full Tour and Spectator Tour) will travel beyond Accra as part of the itinerary. Domestic travel arrangements include ground transfers throughout the Accra and Cape Coast leg, plus a domestic flight to Kumasi for the Ashanti Region portion of the cultural tour. All logistics are coordinated by our team — just show up and enjoy the ride.

What to Pack
A detailed packing guide will be shared in the pre-trip webinar for all registered participants. In the meantime, make sure you plan for these essentials:
Cycling Kit
Helmet, chamois-padded shorts, cycling jersey, gloves, and shoes. Bring at least 2–3 sets for multiple ride days.
Light Layers
February in Ghana is warm and sunny. Pack breathable, moisture-wicking fabrics and a light layer for evenings or air-conditioned venues.
All-White Attire
The White Party on February 15 requires all-white dress code. Plan ahead — this is one of the highlights of the week.
Full packing list coming soon. All registered participants will receive the complete packing guide, gear recommendations, and bike shipping/rental information in the pre-trip webinar.
